I'm thinking about getting a pair of these. Are they comfortable to wear and are they as safe to use as normal earphones?
Thanks |

Get these - http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-EX71...8&s=electronics
My girlfriend has the $150 Shures, not sure which model, but I like mine more than hers, mostly due to the stiff cord on the Shures and the fact that they're almost too clear for mp3 players.
The drawback with the above ones is how long they'll last. I'd expect to replace them yearly, as the softer wires tend to be more fragile. I bought two pairs the last time around when they were at a good price.
Also, this has been discussed repeatedly on here if you run a search. |

They're safe and in a better they may be better than standard than regular headphones.
If you are considering purchasing earbud headphones I suggest you get some in ear monitors which isolate outside noises. This means that you can turn the volume really low and hear perfectly.
They are obviously more expensive than standard earbuds.
There's starting models like Koss the plug which cost around 30 dollars
to better models like the standard Shure E2C around 100 dollars
and you can even go as high as spending 500+ on ultimate ears etc |

| I've got the Shure E2C's and I love them to death. Wonderful sound quality, comfortable, and quite durable. I've given them quite a beating and they're still kicking. I did have to replace my first pair after 2 years, but that was my fault for breaking the wire as opposed to them failing. They rock hard. |

| i had the shure's to, until i lost them last week. had them about 18 months, and apart from soiling all the buds with earwax and the wire splitting in various places, they are without a doubt the best earphones ive ever had. |

| Most earbuds hurt my ears... I must have an abnormally small ear canal. |

Of all the earbuds i've tried, the only ones that will stay in my ear correctly are the shure e2c. And just incase your ear is mishapen they have a selection of different earbuds that you can pop onto the phones.

| i used to like the earbud headphones....until i tried the ones that wrap around your ear. they stay in place more often; and are great for working out. never fall out. |
