This is a 92 year old woman. She shot 3 trained officers. TRAINED. It's not like they kick down a door and then come walking in with targets on their chests. I srsly doubt that this shootout took place within a 3-5 second time period. |

Well, at least this wasn't a Florida thing. Close enough, I suppose... :haha: |

| Well good for her. At 92 her chances of dying an incredibly lame death were high, but she beat the odds and finished strong. |

Yeah, I seriously doubt a 92 year-old woman had quick enough reflexes to cap off three officers, plus get taken out, all in five seconds time. Personally, I don't think anyone else at that age, would be able to pull this off, no matter how long the shootout lasted. |

If you watch the video report, the Assistant Police Chief states that they broke down her door and then she opened fire.
They knew she was a 92 year-old woman, why would they come bust her door down at night while she was probably sleeping? They were not in uniform either - they were plainclothed Narcotics officers with guns drawn - to a 92 year old woman, alone in a big city in what looks to be a rough neighbourhood (by the video), there were 3 men in regular clothing with guns trying to bust down her door in the middle of the night. If they had found any drugs on the premesis, we would have heard about it, so I think it's pretty clear that she had a gun (had a permit for it and everything, says so in the video) and fired in what she thought to be self-defense.
As others have said, this could have been very easily avoided. Why are they breaking down people's doors with their pieces of paper saying it's ok for them to do so in the middle of the night, especially when they have been told by multiple sources that there is a lone, 92-year old woman inside the house who has nothing to do with drugs? |
