actually, the larger yellowish/orange stars don't shine brighter. it's the smaller white/blue dwarfs that actually put out a higher amount of visual radiation that is able to be seen by the naked eye. but on the contrary, they are much smaller in size.
if our sun shined like the white dwarfs too, we would all be blind. and if it was any more orange/red, it would be darker. |
