i used to be into all that space stuff when i was younger. and am kind of getting back into it now.
pardon my language, but that was really a in' cheap shot to make a political statement about the war in Iraq.
just because there's stars out there, doesn't mean we can get energy from them. everything that was shown from like the pollux star and outward are all collapsing giants, that, by the time their light actually reaches us, they most likely have collapsed.
most of the energy that comes from these distant stars is called "Cosmic Rays" that come in the form of x-ray and gamma radiation. its radiation that messes with our atmosphere and effects satellite and ground communication. is there'some way to harvest these xrays and gamma rays and produce them into some kind of energy that isn't harmful? |

it was neat. space in itself has a lot of crazy out there....crazier and trippier than anything terrestrial. |

If those other stars are so much bigger than The Sun, why don't they shine brighter? Too far away or something? Bull.

Compare it to a flashlight right at your eye and a nuclear explosion 10,000 miles away. |
