Soo many people are like uhh talk to scientists about global warming and such. The truth is if you talk to the vast majority of scientists about this is that they do agree that we are causing above average global warming and ultimately at our current rate will cause mass climate change. Economists estimate the damage caused by this climate change to be about 19 trillion dollars.

Ok lefties, I challenge you to actually post some concrete evidence that WE HUMANS ARE CAUSING, DIRECTLY CAUSING CLIMATE CHANGE. I'm not saying it isn't happening, I am saying we have little control over it. SECOND, if you feel so guilty, and are so concerned, please feel free to walk or ride a bicycle and have the electricity shut off at your domicile, whatever it may be. And before you retort with some snide remark, yes I do actually have a couple eco-concious, liberal friends who do not drive, they walk or take mass transit everywhere they go. THIRD, Al Gore IS EVIL AND MANIPULATIVE, and not because he is a democrat and im a republican, which i am not, but because he is a slimy politician. If he believed in all this bs so much, he would donate every single penny the films and books and such generate. I personally think he could give a , to be honest. Would he have been a better president than bush? Well, its hard to say. Bush is a war mongerer, but I will say in his defense that aside from 9/11 we have not been attacked here at home, have we? On the flip side, Gore would probably enacted quite a bit of eco-friendly legislation and that can only be good. You cannot win in politics, which is why i try not to argue about it. This movie and all the global warming crap is just that-democrats like to induce fear just like republicans do, the right wants you to fear other people, the left wants you to fear yourself lol. Scientists warned of us an impending ice age what in the 60's? Now its global warming lol, all a bunch of crap. Like I said, when Gore rides a bike and doesnt fly in a private jet and donates every penny of his existence, or close to it, I might believe him, but till then he's just a dirty crooked politician making a buck like the rest of them.

What do you mean concrete evidence? Ask anyone who knows. The overwhelming general consensus among scientists is that yes, we are clearly affecting the global climate. The fact that you can dismiss an entire film dedicated to showing us, truthfully and honestly that we need to make LARGE changes in our way of life if we want it to be sustainable, just because you think he's trying to make money off it, well its sad.

It is happening, it doesnt matter whether or not you think we are responsible, because we ARE, and the effects will be enormous and will change the way we live in the next centuries. By 2075 there will be no more coral reefs because of the amount of CO2 being absorbed by the ocean to try and balance out the atmosphere. It is estimated that 1-9 million unique species depend on coral reefs.

The is hitting the fan, and whether or not enough of us will wake up to it in time is going to determine the future of how we live...

i just watched this movie and if you have too and still think global warming is untested theory or politics at play, then i'm sorry but you are a COMPLETE MORON. it's obvious that knowname hasn't watched it because every single one of his arguments and doubts have been addressed in the movie. that whole paragraph he posted is ignorance at its finest if you reread it after watching an inconvinient truth. in the future, i advise you get all the facts before making your judgment so publically.

of course, knowname is a cynic, and cynics shouldn't even be taken seriously to begin with

Sorry but Al Gore had nothing to do with the idea, invention, development, coding, programming or anything concerning the advent of the internet in any way, shape or form.

The idea for a "World Wide Web" . . . yada yada yada

You seem to be confusing the Internet with the World Wide Web. The Internet was around long before WWW. You also seem to be unaware of the US Government's involvment in the development of the Internet and the importance of funding for Goverment projects.

Prove it. A simple Google seach shows a Wikipedia page on Volcanoes that states that all volcanic activity releases 145-225 million tons. The National Science Foundation estimates that burning oil, gas and coal releases about 6 billion tons. So quit with the pseudoscience or come up with some credible sources.

i am very interested in "an inconvenient truth". i've heard about it before, but now i'm really interested to see what the deal is.

humans produce 70 million tonnes of co2 in the atmosphere and 25 million tonnes of co2 absorbed into the ocean EVERY DAY. and the figure continues to CLIMB with no end in sight.
