i thought the mix was pretty good but a little slow for me at some parts. some of the tracks were to glitchy for my taste. the song at 26 minutes is gnarly.

the mixing was perfect but i think he made it on a computer so he loses scene points for sure.

thanks for all the reviews everyone. :gsmile:

Everybody and their mom is jumping on the mnml bandwagon. The only people still jumping on the electro tip are those who are really behind :p

My avatar is vinyl art of a Plastic City release, but Chris is horrible at explaining things :p

And yes, minimal is a bandwagon.

okay, I listened.

I like matthew a lot, he is a really really really nice guy. As a matter of fact, the first show I ever played he played at as well. This is the third promo I have heard from him and out of the three, the second one was my favorite. I forgot what it is called, it is in my car, but I like d that one better than this one. The mixing was good in this promo, but either the songs were not my cup o' tea, or I have heard them a lot over the last few months. This isn't to take away from matthew as a dj, he is superb!

Ya, I agree with Randy that Matt has better sets than this one. But what I liked about the set was that I didn't think it was all mainstream or "trendy" like some of u dudes mentioned. I only recognized one song (the song around 18 mins cuz it was on the new digweed cd). He is actually really talented, or else I wouldn't bother with this.

Thanks again for the feedback guys! :p

Alright Jules, thanks for the link. I listened to the set. Nice chill out. Mixing is spot on. A little too mellow if he is giving this CD out as a demo.

Any other mixes you can share?

oh ya, and BTW.... he doesn't use any of the computer programming crap or bother with digital mixing. it was a live mix. i saw him with my own 2 eyes. he's not a cheater even though some of you might have thought so!

:tongue3
