When someone mentioned that this might be an all-ages event, I had a minor heart-attack...i can't stand all ages events. Many moons ago, went to a Z103.5 (bleh) summer rush concert, and I was dancing in the main crowd, and felt some feminine hands come from behind, grinding with me, turning around smiling--the smile quickly faded as I realized it was a 12 year old! I felt like turning myself into the police!!
no more all-ages parties for me... ever! |

Were it not for the all ages parties of yesteryear the TO scene would never have grown to support 15000+ person massives - or - have enough momentum to carry it past those days to what you see now.
I know you're just kidding around but there is this perception that 16+ electronica based events are something to say "ewww" to - when in actual fact people should be happy they exist. It gives those under 19 options outside the vagino/hiphop/emo scene and helps them develop a taste for EDM that'll hopefully carry them through their 20s (and beyond).
The only thing that is for kids is genre whoring :) |
