Pioneer CDJ 200

Stanton C314

Vestax CDX05

Denon DNS1000

These 4 seem all pretty similar. I was wondering if we would be able to make a comparo of the 4 and possibly give recommendations. I know this may turn into a Denon vs. Pioneer thread (etc, etc) but let's try to keep it on track.

Which would you recommend, avoid, and why? What do you like about one? Scratching? Searching functions? Quality?

Hopefully we can make this thread into something that will encourage people to check out some of these units and maybe learn something :)

Sure, we can add that into the mix. Absolutely.

With that, what unit would you lean towards?

What about this? http://www.moogaudio.com/store/prod....php?prod=ton05

If I bought two of these would it at all emulate the experience of using real CDJs? Like, are these Stantons reasonable at least?

I wouldn't get the Stanton, I've used them and they feel cheap.

The CDJ-200 are awesome, the only problem is that it lacks scratch feature.

The Denon I think the have a Scrtacth feature and I've heard they are very good for their price.

About the Vestax, I can't really help you, beacuse I haven't heard anything about them.

I own 2 Stanton c314's. I am very happy with them. Sure they don't have the .02% pitch, but you should be fine. They do feel a tad bit cheap once in a while. But they function flawlessly. I especially love the hot cue buttons and effects. The scratching feature is just mediocre.

i have 2 denon s1000's for sale for about $500 if anybody who is looking at cd decks is interested
nutsan
500 is good for anyone that wants to snap them up.

like ive said many many times if u dont want to scratch then id go cdj200 everytime. if u wanna sratch then denon wuld be my next choice or maybe the stanton as they have a very large jog wheel.

but for mixing you seriously cant go wrong with cdj200 i love mine - end off! :D
