best set from G&D last night in boston that i've ever heard -- we're in for a treat tonight, chicago ;)

hands down the best set I ever heard them play, no contest. I will go so far to say its one of the most memorable sets I ever heard. memorable = very good. they had some stellar grooves going and a couple of oldies thrown in (Beautiful things - beatiful). I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
delobbo
they had a little bit of everything - hard, soft, deep, melodic, lush, trancey, housey.

haha no but i think my "josh how can you do all the work in ableton while dave just fiddles with the filter on the xone" really stuck it to 'em! :p

Fabulous time!!! I was going in with low expectations since I have seen them before and didn't think I was going to enjoy my evening...

first RJ and Blake did a phenomenal job building the vibe! Blake, I really dig the Pink Floyd remix after hearing it on the proper system and seeing the crowd's response... great tuneage my man.

Then I checked out G&D's setup from behind and they run Ableton straight into the mixer on 2 channels and mix back and forth between 2 tracks. I didn't really see them tweaking anything IN Ableton as far as effects or adding other loops, etc... all I seen was Dave mixing in and tweaking the track(s) via the on-board efx from the mixer while Josh triggers the next track. So while they didn't use Ableton in an inspirational way, they were destroying the place!

There was an awesome vibe and I was completely dead tired from working on music until the wee hours of the morning previously but I was invigorated by the vibe on the floor.

I know they played these two... not sure what else:
Mark Knight - Susan
REM - The One I Love (Blake Jarrel Remix)
Moby - Go (Trentmoller Remix)

Happy Birthday Jennifer and Ben!!! Good to see Bobby, Andy and rest of the crew that was out.
