Actually, to make MDA (a common form of E) you first have to make meth. You then take it one step further and out comes MDA. I knew a guy who cooked meth. He got busted by the DEA with a few other people for having 9 meth labs and over 20 kilos of meth. He said he used to stay up for 25 days out of the month. :eyes: Bad stuff |
No you don't... MDA is usually made through the reductive amination of MDP2P (3,4-methylenedioxy-phenyl-2-propanone) usually. Then it's n-methylated to make MDMA, maybe that's what you're thinking of?
MDP2P is usually made from safrole.
As to my opinion of meth, it's one of the standard dopaminergic/serotonergic neurotoxins used in studies. |

you tend to have a tendency to keep scoring more and more meth to stave of the comedown which is horrible. before you know it, 1 months salary is gone like...within 3 days.
the trick to having a smoother comedown is to force yourself to eat and drink, no matter how horrid it tastes. |
Food tastes bad on it? Who the would wanna do a drug like that? :wtf: |

It's the least of your problems, beside the fact it's usually made by some dodgy people in a filthy hovel using chemicals so poisonous that they can kill by contact or inhalation.
And that's before they cut it with whatever is at hand and cheap.
Most people wouldnt buy meat out of the back of a truck from someone they dont even know, with no refrigeration, why? Because your chances of getting sick are in the "pretty good" to "for sure" range :)
Meth just blows people's minds apart, it can turn people psychotic, super angry and have all kinds of halucinations like they can smell their brain rotting or see people that arent there. Also because your body temperature goes up a few degrees for a long time that can cause organ damage to things like your kidneys and liver.
Bit of a modern form of darwinism in action, the monkeys that eat the poisoned berries and mushrooms just don't live very long. |

Never tried it, never will. Information is the best anti-drug.
National Methamphetamine Awareness Day, 2006 - A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America |
OMG the President of the United States of America??!! I think I just crapped my pants... He's so smart I'll listen to anything HE says.
| quote: | | Methamphetamine abuse has become a tremendous challenge for the entire Nation. Education, prevention, and community involvement are key parts of our National Strategy to reduce the demand for meth. People who know about the destructive effects of meth on the user and the community, are far less likely to use meth. |
That makes total economic and social sense... Reducing demand and harm is what academics, economists and researchers have been advocating since day 1... pity in real life most of the money will instead be spent on the futile effort to reduce supply. The relatively little money that is allocated to reducing demand will be spent on propaganda that patronises young people and insults their intelligence.
| quote: | | Please share what you learn about meth with everyone you know and together we can start a chain of Chinese whispers that will sensationalise the whole issue so much as to make the entire campaign unbelievable to the youth who are most at risk. |

Yay more scary junkie pics!!
Sorry about the infantile cynicism, I've just found over the years that Australian and US governments attempts to fix drug problems have been house, and their attempts to "educate" youth about drugs has really rung false in my ears. In reality it IS good to see that the focus is shifting away from interdiction and criminalisation of addicts, to education and seeing addicts as victims of a disease. In truth I hope this latest ice epidemic leads to a paradigm shift in drug policy. |
