| His main point seems to be that the melody's on the album dont progress enough/aren't capturing enough - is that not fair criticism which is worthy of consideration? |

I don't mind people not liking our work but that's not going to make us change how we do things either :) |

I mean why would you listen to an album from 2 guys who are mostly known for doing breaks when you admit hating breaks? Of course you're not going to like any of it.

I can handle objective criticism just fine, but yours clearly wasn't...

If you don’t have a place for some little harsh honesty (probably the ONLY one in this thread), and the only criticism you are going to take is in the lines of:

Like I already said, I have nothing against negative feedback, but that's not really going to change anything about what and how we do things. One can never please everyone and when you try to do that you end up with generic pop slush. I appreciate you listening to the album and bothering to write all those comments, but everything you wrote after that kinda looks like you're deliberately trying to pick a fight. |

Thanks, that's what you should have said instead of "I stopped reading". No fight whatsoever, I'm sorry you saw it like that; like I said early my vocabulary is very limited and may sound rude. If you read the entire review I'm sure you will see I actually wanted to help.
Advice: If you're not really going to change anything about what and how you do things, then what is this forum for? I mean music is for people to listen; if you dont take in consideration the feedback people is giving, who will listen? How will you evolve? |

People evolve naturally. I often wonder "what the hell was I thinking?" when listening to my old tracks, one doesn't really need outsider influence to evolve.
I believe an artist should have enough artistic integrity/vision that he/she doesn't need to listen how other people want his/her music to sound (see my pop slush comment in previous reply). I've said this before in a different thread, but I can take aboard comments when we're talking about purely technical issues like mixing/mastering/EQ/whatever but what I do with my melodies is my decision and my decision alone (and in this case Mart's, of course :p).
I put my stuff here for showcase purposes and for promotion, not so much for feedback. After all, this forum is called Music Producers Promotion ;) |

All right. I guess I should keep tuning my english because these two comments still confuse me:

I don't suppose anyone would like to give feedback on the sequencing of the tracks? I spent a lot of time on it personally, I'd be interested to know whether or not it works for you guys.

Or even a little bit of feedback on the individual tracks would be lovely, if you could spare the time.

| Sequencing of the tracks isn't a part of the track creation process - I wanted to hear whether the tracks flowed well (in other words, the track order). And the second bit isn't even a comment of mine :p |

i think he meant that he would appreciate comments on the technical aspects of the song as opposed to the actual musical content.
ie. the structure, sound quality, dynamic range, if the ideas flow or come in at the right time. |

| And just because it's not going to change the outcome doesn't mean I don't want to read the comments :) |
