I got there after Jason Jollins and maybe I missed the best part. Or maybe I'm over trance. I just can't feel it. There is a lot of the strobe light and a lot of bass but no flow and no melody. Nothing that makes me want to dance. I felt the same way at PvD. The last party I actually had fun at was Danny Howells or DnB at Love 2 weeks ago. If it gets better, maybe I'll post later.

Just got home. AMAZING night. Got there around 11:30am, short line. Jason Jollins was KILLING IT! He kept me going non-stop for 2 hours. BEST SET EVER! I need a set list, can anyone help out?
My first time seeing Above & Beyond and they did not disappoint. Excellent set, and they worked the crowd. I was getting my coat when they spun Alone Tonight and I ran back upstairs and the floor was going NUTS. Loved it! Some sound issues at the end, but they seemed to have figured it out.
I will say, however, that Pacha was PACKED almost the whole night. And it wasn't a particularly friendly crowd. My toes are mush from being stepped on countless times.
I will sleep soundly remembering Alone Tonight! |

Got there way early, and jiminy cricket was that crowd young. I felt like a teacher at prom trying to be cool. An ominous beginning. Jason was his usual excellent self, but I kept losing steam. Don't know if it was because he was building me up and then sending me the f*#k back down again, or because I was so anxious for A&B.
I saw Above & Beyond at Spirit in April. I don't know if it was my mood or what, but I was so far from wowed. It was likely me because the TA reviews were fairly glowing. So tonight was a second run at them.
Jesus. Mary. and Joseph. They killed. Killed. Non stop, with enough hits to keep my pop-whore soul satisifed, but a bunch of stuff I hadn't heard too. I was dancing like someone who thinks they know what they're doing. Couldn't stop. Around 4:30 I kept wanting to leave, my body was screaming at me, but they kept playing good stuff, so I stayed another hour. That said, I'm appalled that I left before they were done, that it's 6:15 and I'm in Harlem eating a sandwich from racist convenience store instead of still at the club (if they're still on), but 6 hours was all I could hack tonight.
After PVD last week I thought it would take a miracle to be that satisfied with a night out. But tonight comes pretty close. The crowd was the only think I can bitch about. Not terribly rude, but definitely meat-headed. People seemed to get a tiny bit cooler later.
So the last song that totally floored me was at about 5:15 or 5:30. I was singing it at the top of my lungs, so I know it, but for the life of me I can't remember it now. Can someone help?
Blake Peter Lyss Drew hello.

Great sets from both Jason and A&B (who started at 1:30 and ended at 6), and great time, but during the peak of the night, the main floor was crazy packed and really hot. It sucked that the 3rd floor was closed off, maybe because there was another party on the top floor, and the club wanted to keep the parties separated from each other.
Good thing the basement provided refuge from the main floor mayhem. The "make-out room" down there provided a good amount of visual entertainment. :D One couple there was going at it for at least a good 40 minutes! :eyespop:
There were these two girls (one of which was part of that couple) wearing matching outfits, and for a short time, they each straddled their respective guy, side-by-side at the same time - a true Kodak moment, but too bad I didn't bring my camera :p
One thing that peeved me was the amount of gum that people left on the floor, and got stuck to my shoes. If you have to chew, then throw that out in a garbage can afterwards! |

My first time seeing A&B.
I got there right before 12. JJ was dropping some good stuff. When A&B came it was just a kill after kill. It made me so happy hearing all the songs and it made them so much better. The crowd, the atmosphere, everything was just perfect(well except few idiotic guidos here and there  ). I couldnt stop dancing. I danced the whole night basically sober cause i had to drive back to NJ. The flow of the music was just, so passionate, it was like an ecstasy in my ears. This night will not be forgotten for many, many years.
Remember when music went dead? Some ing douchebag decided to jump up and disconnect the cables with his hand. The ****** ran so fast, nobody had a chance to get him.
It was a pleasure to meet all the TA's at the end of the performance. I cant sleep(yeah they killed the floor with that song) right now for some reason, but im tired as hell and my back is very sore.
Ill probably add some more stuff when i get some sleep. It was an amazing night. Thank you JJ and A&B.
Somebody post the track list. pls.
i really didnt want to leave after the finished, i wanted them to keep playing...
Oh yeah i got stood up by my own friends, so you to them. I had better time being by myself with buncha drama ******s...
another one...did anybody see an older asian guy up front on the left side....he thought he was in front of the orchestra whiping the stick. Funny . Alot of FOB's with their crazy head movement. |

| My god! No words can explain! Will discuss the night in more detail later on. :) Will be including the first half of the tracklist, and even videos. :D i kinda stopped keeping track since i was in such awe and absorbed with all my heart and soul. I must say though, after the barrage of tunes, then the massive droppage of black is the colour, i thought i couldn't handle any more choons or else i'd have to kill myself. It was joyfully painful to endure! :) |
