The Review:
OPM is a small, intimate lounge with a pumpin' n bumpin' dancefloor.
Big thanks to Crystal for getting Brian to hook up with out of town guestlist.
Pleasant staff, reasonable drinks and most importantly, a loud system.
Unfortunately due to $#%^$%^$%^$%^$% weather - there was no flights landing in Buffalo.
No Glaude. :(
It's not like anyone were TOO heartbroken. Jelo TORE THE PLACE APART!

As for the party... OPM lounge is sick!! It's a small town club that brings in big town DJ's. It's so intimate, by the end of the night you almost know everyone in the bar, and you're breathing in second hand smoke from the DJ's cigarettes. There is definately a great vibe @ OPM!!
As for Glaude not showing up, it sucks but that's life. The weather was horrible and the airport was cancelling flights... so what can you do? It wasn't Glaude's fault, and it wasnt the promoters fault. Sometimes mother nature just gets her bitchy way.
Glaude is one of my favourite DJ's, and the only thing that can make up for him not showing up, is 4 straight hours of Jelo rockin out behind the decks. He spun a GREAT set and had the whole place jumpin. I still can't speak two days later because of all the yelling. I danced my ass off, and jumped around like a fool all night. And I mixed one too many drinks by the end of the night (And my stomach is just starting to feel right again :/ damn goldschlager).
Meeting Jelo for the first time was definately a huge highlight in the trip for me. What a nice and down to earth guy. We were talking about Glaude not making it, and Jelo even showed me the text messages Donald sent to him telling about how hard he tried to make it, but no flights were landing in Buffalo. Anyways, he didnt have a huge ego or attitude or anything. He loves all his fans and he treats them all with respect, and the guy deserves all the accolades that he gets.

All in all, an awesome ing time. This trip was full of laughs for sure (mostly due to albert. "wanna play a game?/Nichelle&Sherman/leave my shoes on/Mamathrope/etc etc" :lol: :lol:). There was lots of shopping, a bunch interesting people, a few weird ones (142 IQ/Props yo/mixed tape), one awesome cabbie, late night indepth convo's, good food all around, good drinks (spark/2for1 beer and shots @ OPM), and great friends.

Ry Diggs and Jarvis did play a wicked set. afterwards. I GOT TO HEAR THE REMIX BY THE WAY BY RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS !!H!I AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
There were some other canucks! Davie [Ace] Ailleo. I loved this dude - I love sharing the dancefloor with him. DAVEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

SPARKS is the best drink ever. So lethal so awesome [lethal not because of the alcohol content]

thanks for the thought anyway Ry Diggy. I'm sorry I didn't introduce you to all the T.O. people I came with. I was kinda everywhere and jelo played such a dirty set, I couldn't help but dance to it all night.
When are you visiting Canada dude? bring me a can of sparks! :haha:

I got to OPM at around 11ish...and it was quite empty, but jarvis and Ry were played and dropped some pretty good tracks.
So in the mean time, i was boozin up! cant go wrong with 2 beers for $4!!!
Then Jelo came on...his first 30mins were good....then i really got out of it. Then Ry told me about Glaude was a no show.....that totally killed me :(
been fighting a massive cold all week, drove down to buffalo, had to hit detours in the back roads....and no glaude :( sooooooooooooo Bummed out.
Seeing Glaude at OPM would of ROCKED as the place an underground style! so i ended up leaving at 2am as i wasnt feeling it :(
Overall the nite was a 4/10 because of the major disapointment.
Altho, I really enjoyed my previous trips to Buffalo to see Dayhota and DJ Dan. Next stop prolly will be Collete in January!
