You think ALL Canadians live in igloos, and that we say "aboot" instead of "about". ALOT of Americans are just ignorant towards Canada.

A lot of people are just ignorant. Regardless of nationality.

You aren't even a part of it, how can you make that assertion?

Our society certainly has it's significant flaws, but to write it off as "" is about as shortsighted as you can get.

Many of you enjoy aspects of our "" society every single day.

Fair enough.

However, American (exported, mass media) news is without doubt a poor way to learn about our society. Our news media is about as removed from the pulse of society as possible.

How?

The U.S. is by far the most ethnically/religious/culturally diverse nation in the world.

When people make factually incorrect posts or unsubstantiated claims with broad implications for American society as a whole, yes, I am.

I'm not defending any image - It's just become a significant annoyance to me to have to read about all the things "Americans" do.

Assumptions about Americans:

They dont listen
pushy
most men acting like a tough guy

ive met lots of Americans, and have family who is American, so i don't have any hatred or bad assumptions about the American people
but your government does not help you guys at all
the above listed assumptions are 100% the vibe your government gives off

i think the main problem is America is the super power, and tries to control the world and get involved where they shouldnt which makes many people whos background's arent from a G8 country not like them
like me for example, i hate the american government
nothing against the people tho
