And conversely to the intelligent turn this discussion had taken, you have rubbish like this being spouted off by thousands across the world who are every bit as ignorant as the people they condemn. |

RJT, you are sincerely and genuinely trying to understand why many Americans are called "ignorant", and yet here you are, displaying profound ignorance yourself!
I'm specifically referring to your statement that "America is a true melting pot and has the greatest number of ethnicities, religions" and so on.
That is totally not true. Canada has far greater proportions of many ethnic groups, from Europe to Africa, and also (something you probably didn't know) a significantly more diverse country than the US is Brazil, and South America in general. I know it's very hard for you to imagine that Brazil, of all places, has huge enclaves of Germans, Asians, Russians, etc., but that doesn't make it any less true. |

not saying you're right or wrong but instead of talking out of our a55es does anyone have hard evidence to back up these numeral statements on either side of the spectrum? |

:haha:
Go ahead, quote everywhere I said "America is a true melting pot and has the greatest number of ethnicities, religions" You're arguing proportions when I've made absolutely no mention of them.
You are the epitome of a clueless . Every time this happens you know you're going to get crushed. When are you just going to realize that the vast majority of c0r is more intelligent than you and that you should just head back to the kiddie table and wax your faux intellectual rubbish there - They may actually buy the bull you're selling! |

Differing statistics regarding demographics exist all over the web - But proportional demographics are meaningless in any discussion of my approach to this thread, as I've made absolutely no argument for the U.S. being the most proportionately diverse nation - I've simply acknowledged the diversity that is undeniable in this country. |

| Who gives a sh1t about demographics when the US just blasts thru other countries civil rights without taking the rest of the world into account??? |

Thanks to everyone for their participation in the thread - I think many of you helped me resolve some of the issues I had, and others only confirmed many of my fears. In the end, it's definitely a far more complex issue than just assumptions vs. genuine fears based on experience - Needless to say, it's clear Americans need to do far more work at home to improve our image abroad.
I'm closing this thread because I have no desire to see it continue. |
