allright, looks like you people are not getting this. Sir_Lunchalot was the first one to get the joke, then oDrori and me.
apparently, evil bastard evil_bastard is spamming us with the made up trance genres like "municipal hardcore" and "rhethoric trance" |
you are a stupid idiot.
municipal hardcore is not made-up. it's a very exciting new genre that blends minimal techno with speedcore.
Download:
e - We Add the E
DJ Smash - Over the Top
DJ Smash - Loud n Soft n Loud then LOUDER!
DJ Cliche - I'm Naked 24/6
all are very good.
Rhethoric trance is like cheese, but alot more...um...how should I say it...definately old and chilled. like a good wine.
Some examples:
Radiator Boys - Log Off
DJ Khaki - 101 for Dummies
DJ Iced Over - Calm Yourself and Get Horny
you really are a dummy, but that's ok. download these songs on AG, i should be sharing them. |

Progressive's OK, and hard trance too if I can be bothered; but call me daggy -- I can't get enough uplifting/epic :) |
For a while I thought epic trance had had it's day, espescially when DJ Messiah was assassinated in front of a crowd of 80,000 in Iraq.
That was until the scene was revived in the early 90s by DJ Heart Transplant, who combined his unique style of biological techno with medicinal hardcore, and began to market it in the epic trance scene that the Ethiopian crowds have come to know and love.
Shakespearean techno will always have a place in my heart. I remember when DJ Word entered the scene in 1990, with legendary tracks such as "Who chants a doleful hymn to his own death" and "Have more than though showest; speak less than thou knowest; lend less than thou owest". His vocals were in a world of their own. Intellectual trance tried to steal its fanbase, but noone could combine the excellently punctuated breakbeats, rational scratching and cognitive hardcore like DJ Word. His style has started to die lately, ever since he teamed up with MC Stalin, who drifted Word into the dangerous underworld of Marxist hardcore, a collectivist music scene which began in gulags of Moscow.
DJ Sonnet is a young pretender to DJ Word's crown, but he started to go his own way with some Chaucerian beats, with tracks like "the Pardoner's choon" and "the general prologue to the canterbury raves".
Tune of the week though must be "Annihilating Breath" by Dmitri Koksuka, resident at Gdansk nightspot Solidarnosc. Also check out "Waste some noise (!)" by DJ Pointless.

I heard a rumour that the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations are going to feature a set from Prince Charles on the decks, as HRH The Prince of Wales DJ Regal, banging out some Sovereign techno. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh is also rumoured to be MCing, shouting obscenities at everyone.
Does anyone know any more about this? |

I can't believe nobody has metioned this huge outburst of trance materializing from the DENSE BUSH REGIONS of AUSTRALIA
Apparantly DJ CULPRIT is spreading FELONIOUS TRANCE beyond the limits of of usual contemporary GENRES.
As the for the PRINCE CHARLES gig, he's playing alongside JUDGE CROWN JEWELLS, pushing out some REGENT HOUSE in the early stages of his set then ending up with some banging SOVEREIGN TRANCE.
Tune to look out for: Dj FUDGE PACKER - I'm a SAUSAGE JOCKY (Bordering on SMOKING THE PINK CIGAR TRANCE) |
