I'm a Noob in both traneaddict.....and WoW.
But i have a question which type of play do you guys prefer?
p v p, p v e, ect? I'm only a Level 10 Night Elf Warrior that pretty much knows nothing about the game, but extremely hooked on it. |

when i played, i enjoyed pvp the most because you could kill horde while they were questing/grinding and then ROFL LOLOLOL /SPIT LOZL!!
the thing about pvp is, you have to be able to cope with getting ganked outta no where for no reason. |

| ^thanks. I was also wondering when are u able to fight other players and take there . I've been in a couple of duels, but where can i go to fight the horde? |

I hate the new 2.0 honor system. I took 3 months grinding to Warlord right when I have litterally 5% remaining to hit HWL 2.0 comes out.
Along with my weeks worth of hard work to get the rest of the needed honor.

pvE is lame.... don't be a .. go for pvp! |

You still play on Shattered Hand, no?
If so, have you rolled horde there?
If not, then all that you probably know is how to play the dominating faction on an established pvp server, which truly does not encapsulate the pvp experience.
Try being the underdog for a few months and you might understand why some people detest it and why WoW fails as a "pvp game". |

yea, i'm a tier2 human lock on SH. i think we outnumber horde 3:1
leveling up my lock and my priest there were numerous times where i've been ganked, it's just a part of the game and makes it more exciting. when i was leveling up my alt priest in the 30s, i would park my Tier2 lock in STV, and when i got ganked, relog and hunt down the horde to kill him. likewise, when i got gank/camped, i'd just wait 5min and grab some food to test the camper's patience.. it's all a part of the game, makes it more exciting imo.
you can't roll both horde and alliance on same server.
i think with the sexually appealing blood elves, the horde numbbers should even out a bit more

I knew of several people who owned 2 accounts just to play horde and alliance on the same pvp server, so it wasn't entirely out of the question.
Alliance on SH was bull when I played on it a few months back - pretty much like alliance on any pvp server, I would assume. It's not simply gank or be ganked, the game turns into not player versus player, but class versus class - kind of an elaborate game of rock, paper, scissors (warlocks being a nuclear bomb). But as horde, nobody has your goddamn back and due to the pathetic numbers, there's not enough server activity horde-side to facilitate super guilds to gear people up. So the game turned into go-to-Kargath-to-be-camped-by-Drama-and-Death and Taxes. Of course, they've since moved off the server, but I doubt things have changed much. Anyways, yeah, I am pretty much crying about how it's just not fair, but seriously...it's just not fun being camped for several hours by people who do it merely for the "fun" in tormenting others over the internet. |

PvP itself is not really much fun in WoW if you ask me but I do enjoy the additional feeling of danger that there could be trouble lurking around every corner which you get on a PvP server. I think BGs and the honor system kind of ruined outdoor PvP though. PvP is now just another farm/grind system instead of something people do for fun. It was so much better in the past when people would actually group up in squads of five or so and run around a zone picking fights instead of just queuing up for a BG, or when you could raid a town without getting 100,000 guard spawns.
I don't really pvp much anymore because of that... and the current state of the warrior class. But I still prefer a PvP server. |
