"Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him"

haha translated into our times is "hunny, would you like a threesome? I found the perfect girl"
Moral Hazard
If Mrs. Hazard were to act in accordance with the "good wife guide" she'd soon be in danger of being the "good ex-wife." I could not tolerate such deferance of her own interests in favour of mine.

lol old post but always funny. I don't understand why women get genuinely offended at that. It was a stupid way of thinking, and it is no longer the world we live in, at least not in our society.

Personally, I'd hate a woman like that. And any guy who wants a woman like that is kind of a coward. I guess I just kind of thrive on a little bit of conflict though, and I would never want another person sharing their life with me to completely forgo the things she wants.

And in return for being a good housewife the husband must be the sole bread winner providing a roof, food, and any other money necessary. This is just as unrealistic in today's world. And believe me there are lots of women out there who use their men for their money and then turn around and refuse to be the submissive wife. To me thats the trade off.

The real problem is the fact that marriage is not a contact of love but one of business.

I could not disagree more. The "dutiful homemaker" is not simply some loaf who sucks up resources. The services preformed by housewifes or husbands are of profound value. The fact that one is not gainfully employed does not mean they have not earned a seat at the table when it comes to decision making and they have most certainly not waived their right to be an autonomous individual.

They earn their keep in other ways;) As long as all parties agree there is a balanced exchange between the parties then all is well.

Never said the dutiful homemaker is some loaf. Being a Mom, cook, housekeeper, wife is a FULL TIME job and deserves all the respect in the world. My point is that being a "kept woman" doesn't mean being a money sponge. It means that your provide for you man in other ways. The only problem I have with arragements like this is that it inherently creates a power structure of dominant and submissive. If this is what each person wants in their life and relationship then all the pwoer to them. I fully beleive that if your happy and loved it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
