fanciulli was FOR SURE a financial disaster pretty sure i said that when i walked in that night.
That aside though, if stereo is trying to change its position in the market they cant expect to instantly have 1000 ppl for a dj they've never booked before and that doesnt cater to the normal stereo crowd. These things take time. |

chika, i dont think posting number and speaking numbers is appropriate for the forums, what stereo is doing is expanding to the sounds that are growing else where around the world its already known for its soundsystem being the best in north america now the talent it brings is the next step. every major dj and producer in the world that has stepped foot into stereo wants to be there... its only a matter of time.
And in my personal opinion tribal is slowly fizziling out everywhere i dont see how you can class it as the sound of stereo..... infact i dont see how you can class stereo sound as anything at all... stereo is stereo and the talent the club brings in is some of the best international talent on the market from the techy, proggy jacking house beats on a friday, to our deep and dark housey nights on saturday's. stereo provides this city with top quality sound and for you to say that this sound does not belong at stereo is rather biased towards your taste in music. |

Funny, I feel (and hope) Nic Fanciulli will be back @ Stereo, whatever some people qualify that night... and i am so looking forward to it...
Montreal is slowly being introduced to one of the biggest rising "star" coming from UK (in fact, "he is widely regarded as one of the hottest talents in the world"). At his age, he has 2 Renaissance comp (no GU). The guys has labels.. had a show for a while on Radio 1. Etc...
I dont think every "big djs well known now by clubbers in our city" had a huge attendance for their first appearances in Montreal. Question of time... (and of course a lot of blablabla)

back to benny benassi, i stopped by when he was @ System this summer. he has a big following.... when I heard the "hysteric" crowd yelling his name I felt the same like for Tiesto @ Metropolis.
His fans will have an amazing time....
