Why is it when you move or roll your eyes when looking in the mirror, they don't move? I bet there's a straight forward answer to this and I'll probably slap myself. :thepirate
Sunsnail
Because you're looking at your eyes? They are looking at a fixed area.
mezzir
you're gonna need to clarify the question...cause well...they move, trust me

Yeah, that's what I thought but it's still weird. Yes, I know you can feel your eyes moving but you don't see them moving in the mirror.

you mean like if you're looking at your eyes and move your head side to side while still looking at your eyes?

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, whos the fairest of them all?
pkcRAISTLIN
oh my god. you retard.

if you do it fast enough you'll catch them moving, like when a dog catches its tail if it runs fast enough.

No, but I've tried that too and I sometimes I find it a bit freaky.

Nevermind, I'm just being random.
mezzir

its cause the start and end of the visual field when you look at your eyes is at the same location, your eyes.

I just made that up, but it sounds good enough for me.
Caela
because your eyes are not moving. for the same reason that if you hold your hand still and move the rest of your body, your hand remains in the same place.
