So I'm trying to get a new car, I go online to get quotes from dealerships for the options I want. This dealership by my house (in Huntington Beach) says they have the one I'm looking for some price and I schedule an appointment for tonight to come take a look. I go in there and he asks which car I was looking for for which options and he says, "OH! We just sold that one earlier this week."
What a dick that was totally my car :mad: Now I gotta wait till tomorrow to see if he can MAYBE get one from some dealership a little north of LA. What a jerk...selling my car like that :( |

pfffffffft. that's nothing. the car you have right now is fine, so don't be too stressed about buying a new car right away.
If you wanna hear a really bad car story...
Yesterday morning, I was running late for work, and my car wouldn't start!!! :( I called Anna to come downstairs to help me jumper cable it, and it still wouldn't start. So I had to get it towed to a mechanic. They told me it was the starter. So I had to buy a new one. I missed a day of work.
In the past 4 months, I got a new transmission, new batteries, new timing belt, new axel, new starter. WTF IS NEXT????????? :(
I might as well get a new car, but I don't feel like forking out payments each month for a new car. :(

When I was car shopping I went down to the dealership and drove a few GTI's and told the guy I wanted to buy one but that I wanted X colr with Y options and Z rims. I then told him I wanted it for X price and that if he could get me all that for the price I put out that he had a sale so long as he did it in 3 days or less. Sure enough he calls me at 8 am the next morning to tell me that he had my car delivered overnight to the dealership and it was waiting for me. I love my GTI, it puts down 258hp to the wheels after investing $3,000 aftermarket w/ the stock turbo. |

trust me, do NOT buy a car from them, let alone a VW...keep reading bas
i bought my jetta their brand new in 04 and i never had a problem with it, or the dealer, until about a month ago when my car hit 80,000 miles (ya i drive a lot)
so...i took it in like usual for it's scheduled maintenance and paid 700 bucks (cus i guess the 80,000 mile service is the biggie for jettas) anyways, the car is fine and i take it out that nite for the justice/ladytron gig at the standard. on the way home, the car totally just slips out of gear on me :wtf: i coast off the freeway and park it in some sketchy neighborhood in hawaiian gardens thinking that maybe, JUST MAYBE, i might be out of gas (the light came on about 5 minutes before the car slipped out of gear) so i walked for srsly 1 hour @ 3am looking for a gas station. i buy a can of gas and walk back another hour to my car. of course, when i put the gas in, the car wont start...so i call AAA and they tell me i have to renew my membership for 75 bucks in order for them to bring a tow truck out. so i paid and the dude came out...i end up getting home at like 7am and pass out. when i wake up i call AAA again and get my car towed back to the dealer. they told me i needed a new clutch and it would cost me 2400 bucks! so i said 'uhhhhh NO thats too much money' the guy was kinda cool with me cus i always take my car in there for service so he knocked the price down to 1900. i said it, just fix the car. so the next day i pick up my car and go to work. when i get off work, the ing car wont start...so i had to get it towed AGAIN to the dealer. turns out they ed something up with the battery (which was brand new with the 800 dollar service i had a couple days earlier). i had to pay 100 bucks just for them to look at the car this time and tell me what was wrong. and another 50 to fix it...so i drive the car home...next day when i go to work, as im backing out of the driveway, i notice a HUGE ing pile of oil in my driveway! so i call in at work, call AAA again and get my car towed back to the dealer for the 3rd time. this time they tell me i need a new tranny gasket (which they didn't replace when they took it apart to fix the clutch) and it would cost me 200 dollars. at this point i ing lost it. i demanded to speak to a manager and i basically cussed him out for 10 minutes before he agreed to do the service for free. that was like 3 weeks ago and ever since then my stereo has been ED UP. i dont even wanna take it back there cus im just sick of dealing with those morons. i used to LOVE VW and even had my parents buy one for my sister earlier in the year but now i cant wait til i get my raise at the end of the month so i can get rid of that piece of and buy this:
EDIT* they also told me that i need to get a new timing belt within the next 500 miles....which will cost me approx. 900 dollars :wtf: the car is only worth 8000 blue book and ive paid half that in repairs alone in the last month. kkk vw |

nUbs, get a Volvo! My '96 850R has had 0 problems and she's 10 years old. Built like a rock she is, and looks like a brick she does. But Power everything and suede interior... And she makes 243 HP... stock. :thepirate
She does need a makeover tho... Cosmetically speaking, she could be in better shape. All that is my fault tho ;) |

ALL VW SERVICE BLOWS ASS!!!! My next door neighbor who is a mechanic and I have known for 14 years does all the work on my car for damn near nothing. I pay cost on every part at the shop level and he does my work for cheap because I pay him directly and not the shop. all that VW pricing bull. VW was trying to sell me 4 new tires for $800 plus labor....YEAH RIGHT!!! I got the exact same tires and the installation done for $300. You would be amazed at how service centers mark up their prices. The service manager can charge WHATEVER price he wants to what ever person. You are paying well over double on any part that you buy from VW directly, and if that isn't enough....when you drop off your car to be serviced by VW at the dealership they often send it to a third party repair shop to do the work for cheap and they collect a large sum for doing absolutely NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING. I know, my neighbor takes dealership cars at his shop all the time, although this practice isn't exclusive to VW, nearly all auto dealerships do this. I recommend that you take your car to a German auto repair shop and have them do the work, KEEP all documentation to present to the dealership because they will ALWAYS ask for it. |
