yeh maybe, things aint the way they used to be, everything has gone up in price. i remember when a bourbon costed like 5-6bux. Now you buy one and pay 8bux ($15 or more for a double) and its not even strong lol.
Also if you're on a budget, you shouldnt be going out. If you're going to complain about 20bux, then you will be complaining about drink prices, car park fee's, cloak room, taxi fees etc, etc.
whinge whinge, stay home.
Mortyman its not just 'this' club, heaps of clubs in Melb charge that amount & if you get on the guestlist you would pay 5bux less.
(but it does help knowing the door people, etc lol).

its always harder for the guys to get in than the girls, because more guys go than girls, so they make you wait till the girls start arriving. |

clubs have been charging around $8 for scotch and coke for ages its not like its a new thing, drinks have always been expensive at clubs. the only thing that remains decently priced is beer on tap, its cheaper to get a beer at room than a bottle of water.
and for those on a budget here is the following advice have pre-drinks:) |

whatever happened to the 'work for the weekend' philosophy. I mean me, who cares the cost esp. if the place becomes one of your regular haunts. Even if you're checking the place for the first time, lists are easy to get on and $20 to check out a place aint farking steep. For those that smoke, don't buy 2 packs of cigs and there's your entry :p
honestly, too many tight arses around these parts as venue's/nights etc, need to earn a living somehow to sustain their existence and hopefully continue to entertain you on your night out.:)
