Saturday night at the Guv was overall a very good night musicwise imo, and in retrospect I was glad to make that decision to go there.
My night started off in the main room where Mark Oliver was spinning his old school house set. I have to admit, it started a bit slow, however apparently it got better as the night progressed. It's a shame I didn't stay longer...well maybe not because...
I was very eager to go to the Gallery for the Till the 2AM and let me tell you...it was definitely house music galore...I was happy to know that Carlo Lio was spinning every 10 minutes (but imo, I'd prefer if he spun a long continuous set). He had a mix bag of tribal, and prog house tunes which got me going at first. However, DJ Anthony Joseph came on after and dropped a killer set (I ain't an expert on mixing...but it sounded to me that the mixing was pretty good) in which he kept on feeding the crowd a set of nice electro and prog house as well as a bit of tech house :gsmile: I really wanted to stay, but it was getting way too hot and crowded. Tunes of the night for me were Cicada - The Things You Say and URH feat Zaida - Work It (Rene Amesz Mix).
Then I made my way back to the main room when by then Marco V was into his second hour. IMO, his set was okay but not spectacular. It was mainly tech trance/house tunes, and did enjoy his set...some notable tracks that were played:
Randy Katana - Play It Louder
Marco V - Godd :gsmile: :gsmile:
???? - I Got the Power (ID remix)
Annie Lennox - Sweet Dreams (ID remix)
I then made my way to the Drink for Syd Blu's set and she was tearing up the room with her set...I don't remember the ID of the track but it goes something like "I can give you what you want, if you give me what I need..." and even after I left the guv...it was stuck in my head...haha
Finally, I came down and stayed for the remainder of the morning for MO's old school trance set. Most of the songs that were spun were tracks played in last year's set, (though I didn't stay until the end last year) but were definitely timeless tracks. After hearing it, it made me realize that I need to come out to more trance events. It was mainly uplifting vocal/melodic trance tracks that gave me goosebumps. I was hoping that a track that was played in last year's set (which I have no idea of its ID) would be played again this year but it wasn't :( IMO, Mark did a good job ending off the evening (people kept wanting more).
Overall, a really good night in terms of music and I was glad that the evening was shared with so many nice smiley TAs (that went nutso over some tunes at times...haha) I saw and danced with last night :D :D I think the only down sides of the evening were the creepy guys and the fact that I didn't really have the energy I wanted to keep me going for the entire evening...otherwise no complaints :) |

Till the AM 2 year party in the Gallery was nothing short of Amazing. Carlo Lio, Vinyl Junkies, Joee Cons, Greg Gow and Anthony Joseph making his Gallery debut just tore up. Such a great crowd, sick vibe and pimp pimp party! EV RY BODYyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did their thing and every single person had a great time! Congrats to ALLY M. and thanks to everyone who was apart of an awesome night! |

does anyone know the song marco V played with the Dj video.it almost sounded like a nintendo game sounds..with some frog sounds ...its stuck in my head..
i hope someone knows what im talkn about it..im checkn his other sets to see if it helps and ill post a sample

Everything was good xcept for the fact that my car stereo got stolen from the LCBO parking lot...Shouldve known better than to park in a free parking lot... |
