Because I have met quite a few people in my day who simply bought something to see what all the hype was about. People do it all the time, why do you think things get popular? Clearly some people are more gifted and talented then others, but they don't get as popular as others because of how things are marketed and exposed to the public. Lift, for example, is played by Armin almost all year in every set he plays, giving it more exposure. Doesn't mean it's a great song though.

I'm not and won't gang up on him. Everyone is entitled to like what they want, there is no point arguing that fact. Just helping him be aware there are a lot of people in the world who can't think for themselves. :p

Hopefully I've met people in my day. Me dj'ing 'x' amount of years shouldn't really matter to what we are talking about. Every huge "trance" dj is basically a muppet when regarding what they are playing. Sad, really...

to what? lol

just making a point, I saw one of your "huge" dj's about 3 times in the span of 4 months and the TL's were all very similar. Pretty sad for someone who has access to all the trance music he could ever want.

dj'ing is not about playing all the newest every gig.. your gonna hear similiar tracks everywhere, since every dj has a style.. take your favrotie dj, look at his tracklists, and tell me he never repeated a track on any list..
dj's play what sounds good with thier set, not whats popular..
