I agree...love his voice and flow, but the beats can be sorta monotonous at times....kinda reminds me of Dilated Peoples, haha.

haven't read through the entire thread.

anyways, i like my hip hop now and then, i'm in no way a connoisseur, but here's a couple of recommendations:

Jimmy Edgar (get his Access Rhythm EP)
DJ Z-Trip (produced and mixes great hip hop, trip hop and breaks, get his Urban Revolutions Megamix... ftmfw)

err, nothing else coming to mind atm.

some great breaks producers make some hip hop from time to time.

Danger Mouse & Gemini put out a good hip-hop collaboration coupla years back called "Ghetto Pop Life"..as for favs, im a fan of the ol' school..Biggie, Pac, Tribe, Souls of Mischief, some Roots, mos def/talib kweli's blackstar, dead prez, some others too..anyone ever hear any dope hip-hop djs like DJ Shadow and Z-Trip? they're pretty ill on the decks..
