I tossed around several ideas, but in the end, i went with randomization through random.org like the previous two years. The only people who were the moved were those in the bottom position with long names who had to extend into the open section of the bracket (see: Xenocreator_PG).
If anyone has any suggestions, Im open to them now and all year long |

Thank you. I agree, this is an odd pairring and certainly I am not an example of those you seek to route from the c0r. I believe that choosing between the two of us should prove difficult for many, especially since in many ways we are very much alike.

I must disagree with you on a number of points here. I am active in the c0r nearly every day. To some it may seem as though I am less visable then others, however, that is a function of quantity of posts alone. I am not one to fire off meaningless one word posts in every thread just so that I can raise my profile. I believe the c0r and it's members deserve respect, which I endevor to show through my posts. I try to craft my posts to be relevent, entertaining, and/or enlightening. Rather then insulting the c0r's collective intellect with meaningless posts I try to deliver quality in lesser doses. Unless you believe that the number of posts is the most important thing I suggest your argument falls down and if quantity is important then, my friend, you shouldn't even be in this race.
With regard to setting a good example and controling the "gnub(s)" I think you're out of line. First, arguing that I do not set a good example is folly, which I assume you recognise as you do point out I am one of the more responsible and dignified members of our community. Second, I believe that this is a community that is quite capable of enforcing it's own standards. We do not need any one person to dictate what is and is not acceptable. Should a "gnub" get out of line the c0r is capable and willing to put them in their place. I would be only one of the voices putting the "gnubs" in line, which if you will note I have done on many occasions; hell, I've even managed to shut Nou up from time to time.
That said, it concerns me that you believe this is a contest to raise one of us to the post of c0r watchdog. This is not an exercise in electing a regent. This is a polling of the c0r to determine who they believe best exemplifies what we as the c0r value. If you believe otherwise and think that our fellow posters are looking for a tyrant to control them then I would suggest you do not understand the c0r at all and as such are certainly not deserving of their support.

Again I thank you for your positive comments, these are especially meaningful to me as you are a member for which I have a great deal of respect. I must question though why it is you lack confidence in my ability to lead. Please, give some examples where this quality has been proven to be lacking. Really, one need only read the Crackhead Alliance thread to see endless examples of my ability to both advise and assist anyone who requires advice or assistance. I am ever on call to help with a problem or lend my aid, in fact, several c0r whores have even contacted me at home for assistance which I have always given. Moreover, my vision for the c0r and my leadership toward that vision is born out in the quality of my posts. A quick read through the Dear ______ thread should show how the elevated quality of my posts lead to an immediate improvement in the quality of most the subsequent posts therein. The two mentioned threads are not isolated instances and anyone familure with my posts knows what you have stated with regard to my leadership and vision is simply baseless.
While I do not begrudge you for what you have posted I must challenge you. I trust you understand this. As I stated earlier, this will be a difficult decision for many and your use of misleading and unsubstantiated negative campainging against me will only muddy the waters. Please, do not insult those you seek to gain support from, it is unbecoming of a person as dignified as you and shows a great deal less character then we all know you possess. Most disturbingly, your tactics show you have a very low view of the c0r, which as someone who vehamently loves and values this community I find reprehensible. |
