on the bigger picture...why is this "affiliation" causing such drama here? It's not cool for a promoter to bash other events in favour of thier own, but what's wrong with starting a roll call thread for an event you are promoting :conf:

:rolleyes: to the fact that someone who wants to promote an event out of their own accord is accused of being a promoter. I DO IT ALL THE TIME. I've never part of the party I promote, I just do it, because I want to and i'm excited about it, Chinamon.

the problem is that you said it was your friend you are promoting this event for.
if you would have said that you just saw this event somewhere and wanted everyone to know about it, then it would be case closed but you said yourself you are promoting it on this site FOR YOU FRIEND. that's still promoting. you can't be this hard headed.
