Well its now thursday :conf: I'm not used to going out on wednesday haha, After being late for work and having a hard time getting out of bed I finally have time for a review!
I got there around 8 with Sherrie. basement was dark. i setup my gear had a drink ordered some food.
Paul started around 9. I've never seen a DJ booth packed with so much gear in my life. it was nice setup, he was doing 4 decks, I really enjoyed some of the mash ups he was doing!
Then I Played...
Next was Dennis! Always a great time when dennis plays, Loved his track selection and mixing, so smooth. It was great to see him playing in toronto! this guy needs more gigs in toronto ppl! esp now that i dont drive and i cant get to the purple room.
Then was Jeff and Ryan. oh man, I've seen them play seperatly before but as a team is good. some really dirty beats. Was good to see them mixing and smiling and dancing around
And of course it was great to see all the people that came out to support! I dont want to drop names cause then I know i would forget someone. But you all know who you are! I havent seen some of the TA's in a long time! I hope you all can make it out for next week! big thanks for all the people coming out! I'll see you next week :) |

Good times were had for sure. I like the venue, nice to sit around, chat with TAs, have a beer, listen to tunes, get up and dance if you want, watch the game ....
I could definately see myself going out to this every week. |

| It was a good night. Nice to catch up with some of the TAs and actually talk (it is impossible to talk with anyone in a club). Next time I would like to see more people out! ;) |

I actually kinda lost my voice for a bit today cause i was talking to much, it was overally loud where were all sitting. it was really nice!
PS. I'm still mad i didnt get any chopsticks |

Had a good time, nice to meet some of other new TAs finally!
Got there early, drank ate the fatty fries, watched Paul pull off an amazing equipment malfunction recovery, no one noticed anything was wrong.. WTG Tapstah. Stayed until nearly the end of Transid's set, work in the a.m! |

Well I have to say guys. I had a GREAT night. Everyones energy and kindness realy went along way for me. The compliments I got for my set were unexpected, but certainly appreciated. I know I didn't start off as strong as I had hoped, but was realy starting to feel it half way in.
Yeah, that equipment failure was an experience.. good thing I programmed over run buffers into my controllers. This experience has given me a little more direction towards my future as a live performance artist. Gonna keep collecting samplers and other gear, start doing shows like chemical brothers used too, gonna take a few years.. but practice and experience is all it will take!
What did you guys think of the sexy back remix?
Transid, can't wait to spin together again, we should do a battle sometime! |

good job Dennis and Brian, i'm sure the night was topnotch:) next time i will be there for sure, considering i'm a crappy Dennis Hahn fan since i missed him playing in p-room like 3 times in a row :( |

Good times on Wednesday. It's tough to make a Wednesday stick with up and comer djs but hopefully people will catch on that there is good music and good people and we can actually build something.
