I don't know actually who will win, they're with a few teams who stands a chance, but I don't think France will have this much luck this year:p
big dave
get your money on france now as they have possibly the best attacking side! probably the best midfield too! the only bad point is that they have a goalie called barthez  apart from that they have the best chance me got my money on them! :toothless

haha....no way!! Always the bridesmaid ...never the bride. It's the fate of the AZZURi to never win the most glamorous trophy of all. But I will say that they will be once again...the best dressed team of the tournament. :D :stongue: :toothless

Hehe, quite true but azzurri won 3 times and are always there ... time for a poker! :p

France, Argentina, Italy or England if they got their act togther and not field players like the Nevilles.

As much as the Spanish have a brilliant team, I can't see Spain doing that much damage every year everyone has high expectations of them because they cain through the qualification rounds, in the tournaments themself its usually a different story.

My dark horses for the tournament are Ireland and I'm not being biased at all here, Robbie Keane excellent forward creative and he's a good finisher, plus he came back from injury, Roy Keane injured right now but will be ready for the world cup excellent defensive midfielder, and Damien Duff watch this player he put Denmark through hell a few weeks ago, they will up card wise though because they play a hard and agressive game.

And guys please don't call it soccer call it football I loathe the word soccer. ;)

MmmmMMMmm I hate to say this but I think Argentina is doing veeeeeeeeery goood, I mean, on the qualifications, they were by faaaaaaaar better then Brazil, are on top, and all, they are playing pretty good, and to me they may win the cup as I see them, if not Italy, maybe England, or even one of the african nations as mentioned, Nigeria or Cameroon, but really, I would like to see a new team win, maybe a team that may surprise everyone else, like someone said, anybody but argentina, buuuut, I have to be honest, they are doing goood...

Well Ste Carr is an excellent right back and it is a shame he can't play, though Gary Kelly I'm sure will do well in his place, he's a good player Kelly, we've got Harte on the left who's excellent, only problem with Eire is central defence O'Brien who plays for NEwcastle is ok but Stauntons getting on a bit now, and I think the two of them aren't bad players, but thats the weakness, once someone gets past Keane and Kinsella we're ed especially if its someone like Henry, or someone creative like Totti I think Harte and Kelly will end up doing a lot of work for them two, but Givens a good goalie so it should be ok.

As of now I'm liking Italy, Argentina, Portugal, or Denmark

Italy's always a team to watch out for, although I hope they don't win.

England vs Argentina will be a good game but I don't think England can beat them this year

Portugal just because they've come back from not qualifying in '98 and look solid.

Denmark looks alright if they can make it past France.

I'd really like to see Ireland win although their chances are pretty slim ;)

Who will NOT win this year: Brazil, France, England and all of the other crap teams like USA, Japan, etc

There are some real interesting groupings so it'll be interesting...can't wait!
