call us stupid, but we're not getting a hotel room (we're poor), but know people that have rooms...i figure all we really need is access to a shower.

I split a room with a friend from the UK who had gotten there before me but who ended up having to go back the day after I arrived. It was still cool to be there, and I ended up meeting a handful of people who I hung out with there, but it's not quite the same.
Even doing the conference itself it's really not all that good for making contacts, unless you're the super-hustling type. And it's hard to do that on a hangover, nah'mean?
You can make more decent contacts through Myspace and messageboards. And going out.
That said, Myspace doesn't have good weather and Art Deco. |

This is probably the most key element of WMC's success. No lies. |

Yeah, it's a big factor. There's not many cities in North America where you think about architecture but South Beach is a big one. It's a pretty place. |

What I'm really having trouble with if whether or not we're actually being serious about this.
Because to be honest, those pastels really move my soul. |

Gd that sounds sick! I definitely want to go.....
But $2000? fck that !
When I have that type of money to blow on partying alone, and it's NOT from mommy and daddy (not directed at you court), then I will be ONE happy woman! |

$2000? hm...i'm not sure where you're getting that number from. if it was that much, there would be no way i'd be able to go. i've been saving up for this for almost a year. my friends and i are unsure if we're acutally going to WMC itself...but from what i hear the parties are EVERYWHERE. so i guess we're just winging it :p i look at it as more of a bonding trip...and quite the experience it will be. :) |
