My comps bugging out, i started it this morning and it loads up as if its in safe mode all big and i cant change it back to the normal way i had it, It was starting with an error in mmsystem.dll and i went on google and they said something bout it missing in the boot section of the system.ini file. I put it but it didnt make any difference, not sure if it has to be at a specific place but it didnt make any difference when i put it there, all it did was stop the error but i still cant get my windows back to normal size

My laptop crashed a couple weeks ago so i had to send it to get fixed. In the meantime I borrowed my friends laptop with ME. It was really bad. None of my music programs worked on it and I just had a lot of problems with it. Microsoft actually stopped making updates for it about 6 months ago.
Your best bet is to get an external harddrive, copy all of your important files and data (in safe mode) to your new harddrive.
Then do a clean reinstall with Xp if it's a newer comp and if it's an older comp go with Windows 2000.
You can get a good external harddrive at Staples for like $99 (250 gig).
