| Same with Slipknot, i've never understood the appeal of them. I guess teenagers have a lot of angst and like music that speaks to that angst. But musically...it's pretty pitiful and quite ugly IMO. It's almost comical... |

Way I figured it, (and I might be wrong here...) but i just figured it was the worlds biggest piss-take since someone thought a couple of white guys dressing up in clown suits, swearing and rapping might actually be taken seriously.
I saw them on TV on a music channel a few years ago, laughed my ass off and thought, what a joke! Good on them though, thats just damn funny at least once, probably not funny by a 2nd album.
Didn't think much about it because it was mostly crap until a little while later somethingawful.com was doing a pisstake of the ICP, flame wars of epic magnitude and all these tossers coming out of the woodwork and sticking up for the band.
Well... they where serious! :eek:
Like, dead serious and I seriously hope never to meet one of them ever because when jokes get taken too seriously, its never a good thing! |

I'm not. Emo kids don't listen to death metal, nor would any self respecting emo be caught dead listening to ICP. Plus emo kids aren't nonconformists. In fact I'd be willing to say they follow the emo trends better than most people follow the trends considered to be "conformist" |
