Interesting how people bash on TI or make statements like "who needs a virus anyway". While I give props to someone who spent time and effort making excellent sounds, I think the concept of "pay for patches" is rather archaic.
You see some PHENOMENAL patches on Virus website (or other sites), yet they are ALL FREE. Some of the industry's best sound designers like Ben Crossland, Matt Picone, Matt Stoley and even Howard Scarr (of Albino/Blue VSTi Synth fame) - all make excellent and free patches available.
Best of luck to you with your sales, tho, hate to say it - give it time and your patches will be freely traded on remaining p2p portals faster than you can say "d'oh! there goes my profit!"
;)
Cheers! |

I think it's very likley that the above people were paid by access.

Adam;s still a student at school and gets paid by no one. He spends loads of time tweaking and making sounbanks and if he wants to sell them and make money then good on him I say. At the end of the day it's people;s choice as to whether or not they want to buy it or not.
I spend loads of time making ace trance that will sell very well and I'll make money from so I don;t see much difference. Arksun sells his sound banks as well.
It will probably be over every p2p out there but hopefully like all music enough people will buy it to give adam the confidence to make more soundbanks (hopefully for the minimoog) hint hint ;) |
