Doesn't the brain undergo dendrite pruning until you die? ;)
And I can say from personal experience that marijuana is indeed a physically addictive drug. ;)
I'm sure any drug is physically addictive if used regularly for a long enough time. :( |

yeah you lose dedrites all the time, but there are only a few periods in your lifetime when a massive 'rewiring campaign' is triggered and your brain is most vunerable to exaggerated and permanent effects of drug abuse, and that puberty range is one of the last ones until you're in your midlife/menopause iirc.
i guess for me i've never been addicted to anything so i wouldn't know, but i'm pretty sure there is no physical addiction to weed. i've never seen anyone die from thc withdrawal or thc overdose and i doubt the brain ever becomes physically dependent on thc. i've smoked for 3 years straight and managed to shut it off and return to normal in no more than a week. and every since then my smoking habit is very sporadic and spontaneous. |

Why are so many of you TA's using the word "rave" alot lately? That sounds so highschool-ish.
Even if it is a "rave", can't u just call it an "event"? I'd never use the word rave in public. |
Whats wrong with using the word "Rave" in public Miss Julia?
Just curious. I dont wanna 90210 it and call a rave an "event".

Everytime I hear the word "rave", I think of little high school kids on E, with glowsticks, colorful bracelets, and baggy raver pants. That word is such a pet peeve of mine.
A rave is actually an event anyway, so just call it an event so you won't seem like a noob. :) |

Why not just call it a party? Isn't that what it is?

| YAY!!! Another thread on drugs! I will sit back and see what everyone has to say and laugh when something is funny. As general knowledge, only 2 facilities have unrestricted access to schedule 1 and I don't work for either one :( :( :( It is a rather long and tedious proccess to get a permit to do any type of research with anything scheduled and they have big brother watching you the entire time. That will be all. |

Like Lex mentioned, this drug when used in moderation is just like alcohol or any other drug for that matter. It's how responsible you are with it.
This drug is not physically addictive but can be mentally addictive for some people.
People who are depressed or have tendencies probably shouldnt use the drug because they always want to get back to that high to be happy.
I've used it for many years but no more than 4 times a year. That's how you keep the tolerance down and the magic. The drug does drain your body and brain, that's why you should always replenish your body and mind after each use. Especially with fish oil, vitamins and 5htp (replenishes serotonin). I've seen so many friends drop every week and get drained mentally. That's because they don't have enough serotonin so the brain tries to push out something that isn't there. You should always space out your rolls for at least every 3 months. The more of a break you can take, the better. That way you brain gets to replenish that serotonin. Think of driving your car for years without an oil change. Eventually it's going to ruin the car. |

So in other words, all the massives? Raves = events = massives? |
