And this list has what sort of impact on EDM? Oh, that's right, it doesn't. Stop getting your panties in a bunch, it's a subjective list. |
Don't underestimate the importance and impact of this list. It influences half a million listeners and encourages a handful of artists trying to reproduce "trance" like this.
For shame. |

Awful thought.
Trance full of tracks like Good For Me, Love You More or Sail. SvD isn't much better either. :nervous: |

if the first 7 tunes don't make it painfully obvious that the voting system is a pile of wank then i don't know what does..
whilst the chart bears little importance to me it would still be interesting to see the results if it were a little fairer (ie, the tunes weren't all presented in alphabetical order in a tiny drop down box)
they should just do away with the list of tunes, or randomise it |

Found this on Armin's forum...

Vote points made for each range of letters...as you can see, the vast majority of votes were for tracks at the top of the list (in 'A'). |

So no wonder that Perry O'Neil, Oliver Prime or Vibrasphere didn't succeed.
They obviously should put A in front of their name next year. A Vibrasphere. Guaranteed hit! |
