good luck on that, it's on a defunct label and the record it was released fetches for a bit. same goes for the ohm compilation it's also on. there is a copy of the cd on discogs that goes for 90euros, the 2xlp goes for 55euros.
i got the cd compilation and i bought it for 10kr (1.something euro). |

| On the contrarty, I'd say that 7 or so of my 10 would still be picked. |

Oh hi guys. Been feeling nostalgic recently so what the .
Deliberately made a point of excluding any Prodigy, Orbital, Underworld and PvD (as those artists will probably take up all 10 places) but these are a few of my favourites from 1990-95. Ask me again in a few days and it'll probably look very different :)
Aphex Twin - Analogue Bubblebath 1 [1994]
BT - Nocturnal Transmission [1994]
Sy-Kick - Upside [1992]
Transformer 2 - Pacific Symphony Too (Italian Smooth Remix) [1992]
Sy-Kick - Nasty (Terrorize Mix) [1992]
Astrospider vs Kelvin - Chrome (1995)
Way Out west - Shoot [1994]
Spooky - Little Bullet (Gargantuan Mix) [1993]
Quazar - Cycledrops [1991]
Cyclone – A Place Called Bliss [1990] |

It's actually a pre-SAW 85-92 track, from 1991. Certainly one of the finest 20+ years old dance tracks. |

No, but just heard some quick samples.
It wasn't what I was expecting, lol. Pretty cool. |

I can not possibly cram my favourites from that era into a TOP 10. Because 1990-1995 was the greatest era in electronic music history.
I'll just mention the ten tracks from that era that still mess with my head today after many years. Tracks that influenced my music taste.
1. Don Carlos - Alone (1991)
Don Carlos has some really amazing house music. This is one of the greatest house tracks ever. Many people agree.
2. Orbital - Halcyon (1992, Radiccio EP)
NOT the "Halcyon & On & On" track which I got sick of very quickly, but the original version from Radiccio. This track and the weird video got me addicted to Orbital until 2005. Although my favourite Orbital track is Chime - but its from 1989.
3. Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Club Mix) (1994)
This is the song of my childhood, reminds me and makes me miss my younger days. This is when I picked up on eurodance.
4. Underground Resistance - The Theory (1992, UR)
This track made me fall in love with deep beautiful soulful techno and the world of detroit techno.
5. Robert Miles - Children (ORIGINAL version) (1995)
Just like with Orbital's Halcyon, I do not like the video or the popularized Dream Version of the very famous track by Robert Miles. Its the original version that gave me the goosebumps on my shoulders.
6. Virtual Symmetry - The V.S. (1994)
Paul Oakenfold's Essential Mix from 1994 I must have played a thousand times a decade ago. I became a classic 1988-1995 trance fanatic as a result.
7. Underworld - Born Slippy (1995)
Huge fan of Underworld in 1990s.
8. Effective Force - Illuminate The Planet (1992, MFS)
Hauntingly beautiful opening trance track to the amazing album of the same name. Big fan of the artist, and great label that made so much amazing original trance.
9. React 2 Rhythm - Intoxication (Clubfield/Dubfield mixes) / Guerilla, 1991
Love it or hate it, this track never got old on me. Amazing label too.
10. X-Dream - Trancesylvania Express (1993)
I used to pump this one really loud in my car stereo while in high school 12 years ago. And I was one of like 2-3 people in my entire high school who even knew what goa trance (or trance for that matter) was. |
