HouSexy is back in action! This time we've teamed up with the world-famous Proton Radio to bring you Jeffrey Allen and James Lauer. Joining them will be Chicago up-and-comers Dave T and Daedalus. Stop by Vision on Friday, Jan 12 to spread YOUR positive energy.
JAMES LAUER [Proton Radio, The Knock List, AMP]
James Lauer has grown to become a major force in the worldwide underground house community and continues to steadily prove himself as someone who is dedicated to pushing electronic music forward. His DJ and promotion efforts have consistently earned him bookings at top locations in his hometown of Chicago as well as at larger clubs in locations around the globe. With a style can best be described as a unique combination of deep, dark and uplifting house and techno, James strives to create as fresh and diverse of a musical environment as possible with every set that he plays delivered with the clear goal of moving crowds both inside and out.
James’s recent tour dates have included major club events in London, Melbourne, Sydney, Juarez, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee and many other locations around the globe. Over the past few years he has been regularly selected as the opening DJ of choice for many the world’s biggest electronic artists including Tiësto, John Digweed, Sasha, Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold, The Crystal Method, Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshi Tomiie, James Zabiela, Markus Schulz, Sandra Collins, Lee Burridge, Max Graham, Way Out West, and Infusion, among many others. James has also been featured several times at some of the largest electronic music events in the world including the United States Love Parade, the Miami Winter Music Conference and Two Tribes Australia.

Being introduced to the sounds of electronic music in the late 90's, Dave was quickly drawn into the house music scene. But it wasn't until he was tag teaming light shows with a friend at Moda Nightclub in Cleveland that Dave decided to move away from his 14 year percussion background and purchase his first 1200's after moving to Chicago .
Dave began by spinning deep and funky house, acid jazz and progressive being influenced by the likes of Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, and Sasha and Digweed. Dave's style has matured into what you'll now hear in the selection of House Dave incorporates into his sets. Dave's sets generally cover a range of house music which include tech house, funky house, electro, progressive, and tribal.
Dave's style and track selection influence clubbers onto a dance floor and into an ultimate clubbing experience “the best night ever.” Expect the unexpected, as Dave is consistently striving to take his listeners on a clubbing journey that will surely be remembered.
Dave's percussion background and understanding of composition has helped set him apart from his peers. Although Dave has dabbled with Dj'ing since 2003, he has accomplished a great deal in Chicago since becoming serious about the decks in the fall of 2005 playing multiple gigs at Zentra Nightclub, Vision Nightclub, and Wet.
