I've been reading about this program BT is coming out with in 07 and it sounds interesting (even if it is exclusive to logic), but before I make any decisions I'd like to hear your opinion on it. yeah, you.
thoughts? |

| Great, soon every second tune will be filled with poorly executed stutters. I'll rather still do it manually (and very, very rarely). |

Since I use a lot of stutter/glitch edits in my current tracks, I'm all for tools that can make the production process more efficient for me. There's no reason to say no to something that would make my life easier just to be... hardcore.
Nevertheless, I'm somewhat skeptical about what it's actually going to do, and if it turns out to be just a glorified Glitch/Supatrigga/Buffer Override, then I'm not interested. All those plugins, while good and useful in their own right, simply can't be used wholesale to get a good effect. As I've said several times on this forum before, the hard part about stutters isn't actually knowing how to do the effect, it's finding the right source material and getting it timed and smoothed properly.
Yet another plugin that focuses on solving the easy part (repeating some sample) while ignoring the hard part (picking the sample to repeat, deciding how to repeat it, intermixing it with other samples, and doing the necessary pre/postprocessing) does not help me in any way. I'd be very impressed and excited if this can actually take care of even a small fraction of the "hard part", but I'm not expecting much - BT is a genius producer but he's not a genius programmer. |

| I have a stutter plugin that no one has...its called "ty computer vst" I use my old pIII and load up SX3 play my tune where I want it to stutter...then "ty computer vst" starts to stutter. Its amazing. also another good one that I use is "ty harddrive vst" and "ty soundcard vst" bundle then all together and you get "One Big ty Stutter VST" |

I think BT's involvement here is more producer, director and beta tester, not programmer. From what I can tell, he's got other people doing the programming, so his main involvement will be making sure it makes the stutters he's looking for and makes them easier to produce.
Personally, I'll probably just get the demo and wish I had the money to purchase the real thing. I really look forward to the release of the technology, though. |

| I will get the cracked version if it will be good. |

| At least it will only be available on logic. Most tune by numbers producers aren't using logic. |
