Human Engineering?

Is it possible? Say engineering humans to be adaptable to certain conditions / environments and be dependent on other forms of matter instead of oxygen?
The question applies to other planets, since Earth is oxygen based, is it possible to engineer human organs and tissues to adapt and make use of other atmospheric substances on other planets? |

I am thinking of getting into DJing and what not. What equipment do I need to get started?
P.S. I really, really, really like ASOT.
