You're entitled to your opinion ;)
I was just referring to Chikitamtl who said he wouldn't be part of the main sunday event. |

He is a good dj, its just that the house room lacks variety. (I can be 100 % sure some tracks will be heard 4 or 5 times over the night.)The other room is all the same.Sleep Dish AGAIN.Its almost as if bal en blanc is not in tune with the current trends and just books the dj's as quickly and as blindly as possible.I still say scrap all the headliners and just put on locals. This way the Montreal sound is well represented. Not the same old all of the time.Big name or not, they will end up like Black and Blue with half of the normal attendance if they keep doing this.I don't bitch to be negative, I bitch because it saddens me to see what was once a staple of this cities party circuit become a severly inferior product. Its not nice to say, but i hope the attendance is smaller than last year so the people doing the booking understand music matters. The dj's there this year are good, but they ALL play the same .Over 12 hours it becomes a bit much. Why no tech?tech house, electro, anything.Just tribal, diva, and trance. There is nothing to make you go, omg "" is in the other room, time to switch this year. That is usually the best part of this event.

imo they need to diversify themselves a lot better next year... no use bitching about it now, nothing is going to change...
i agree that bal en blanc is more for the vibe than the djs but you gotta keep the talent fresh... there are some djs out there that have as much pull as armin and deep dish
artists like roger sanchez, paul van dyk, carl cox, john digweed, ferry corsten can refresh the event and bring a new vibe to the place
it's gonna be like deja vu deciding between armin or deep dish this year...
its gonna still be a steller event... i have no doubt in mind.. but i'd like to see them take a risk and book something different... |

+1 to last few posts, esp ANF's
I was gonna mention Black and Blue too, since I was there. Amazing that the last two indoor massives have been mediocre, imo. You can almost see the shift happening in the past few months alone with the bookings. Resolution had great music, up until 8:15AM :p
Three dj spots (or so) left.. let see what they serve us up with. |

| Well, I'll take Offer over Guetta and Schulz over IM anyday if that's the case. That will be a big improvement over last years, since IM and Guetta took up 6-7 hours of beats there. |
