This is my first mix I’ve done in Ableton. I must say the program is just insane, but I’m sure many of you knew that. I really wanted to make a “chill-mix” that had a real flow and momentum to it. This seems lost on most “chill-mixes”, I feel, when mixing between tracks seems to never be beat matched, but rather ambient fade in-outs into one another. Ableton, of course, allowed me to beat-match tracks I could never dream of. Props to Junkie XL’s 7am, Coded’s mixes, and old Digital Witchcraft sets for showing me how a chill-mix should be done.

Thanks for the mix. I'm affriad I can't really focus on it right now, since I'm at work. But I can tell you that the last hour has been much more enjoyable because of your mix. You have great track selection. I'll be listening to it again for sure, so I'll be able to comment on the mixing after a while.
Those last two tracks are nice. I love cinimatic tracks. Do you know what movie/tv show they're from? |

This is my fave chillout set in sometime. I really like it a lot, and if I get some time in the next day or two I'll give it a proper review!
Cheers! |

Glad you liked it, just wish more people (with more talent) were doing the same thing. |
