drinking expired energy drinks?

i just bought a 24 of red rain for $15.99 in kensington today and it expired in august.... is it unhealthy to drink them now or something??? what would cause an energy drink to expire???? or would they just be unaffective?

You got ripped off. This large carribean food store at Keele and Finch sells them for 3 for a dollar or 8 bucks a case. I tried them, no biggie. I prefer a coffee anyways (but not in Minnesota).

It's not unhealthy, you'll just feel wired for a little while.

i wouldnt say i got ripped off, because any other energy drink costs at least $2 each.... i think i am paying like $0.67 each or something like that....

and the place is like a 3 min walk from my house.... so i'm happy

yeah but thats the same as if they werent expired

If anything, the flavor probably won't be as strong as it would have been before August.

They're probably 100% fine, the expiry it just something that is probably required by the government to be on the product. For instance, look at bottled water - it can't expire or anything, but hey, there's a 1 year expiry date on them.

yeah this is what i was thinking. thats why i didnt have a problem buying them
