Damn! Too rich for me.
Story is Apple wants their phone to not be subsidized by the cell companies like Cingular so it's extra-expensive for the user.
Well maybe they will have a cheaper version later. |

They will...simply pure economics.
They will probably sellout for the first several months, then they'll drop the price, maybe for xmas time or something like that, or some time after that.
If the demand is willing to pay $500+, then they might as well launch it for that much and rack up all that revenue! |

Yup. Early adopters will buy it at that price, then lower it to a more mainstream price. Same thing happend with the iPod. |
