But as far as this thread goes a promoter/someone posted about the Edgar and Acosta residency, and asked us TAs for suggestions as to what DJs we would like to see as guest DJs. I think the discussion has stayed on that topic to a point, and the end result is hopefully that they will listen to us and bring some of these DJs (a good thing I think). Some people have strong opinions about who should be brought and why, and they should say so without making it a personal attack on others because everyone is entitled to their opinion. Yet it is a message board, so a little humor, sarcasm, etc is expected from time-to-time. People just need to breathe sometimes b4 they post.
With that said, back on topic. I already mentioned who I would like brought down, but I have no problem with locals being brought. In fact the party already has 2 of our biggest locals as residents. Definitely bring Eric as well, would like to see him play in that room so he can bang out a proper big room set. But bring some of the out-of-state/international talent as well, because people really need to be expsoed to diversity in trance. Otherwise everyone outside of TA and other music heads keep thinking that trance is just Tiesto and PVD. I like them both, but there is a lot more to it IMO. |

| You know what, how about we all just STFU…I am really tired of seeing these threads where one thing gets said & everyone needs to get all crazy and then when someone else counters it just goes in a circle. Theoretically we all like trance & we’re not doing anything to help it by having these stupid debates. All DJs on every caliber deserve recognition but realize that all DJs play other DJs/producers music & most of what we love are TRACKS played by a DJ we consider a friend. Do we not grasp that concept? No one needs to counter what anyone else says; it comes down to reading comprehension. So I will say it once again, these little internet bickers cease or I will close the threads. |

But you have to understand this is an interesting topic,why shut down a topic that people are interested in?Debates on this site are what keeps it going,i know TA,s do like to hear peoples opinions.Its way better hearing these peoples,apposed to someone who has no idea about EDM.
It seems like some people are learning,and sharing there own view of the same thing that has already been said.Its kinda interesting what people will read and copy as there own.:happy2: :happy2:
That being said i think people in the trance scene in SFL should feel good about this residency because this is a good sign for trance.It shows that people are out there still trying to keep the scene alive in SFL.It also shows that money can be made from trance. |

congrats to george and edgar for this regular gig.
someone mentioned that GA wouldn't be available on whatever date and a special guest DJ would be there with Edgar. I think that's awesome. If it's another local - that's cool, if it's a DJ from another city then that's cool too, if it's an international DJ then that's even better. There is nothing wrong with variety. Why can't they mix it up a bit here and there? Can't there be nights when the residents spin with the locals and other out of town DJ's? Then ofcourse GA & EV do their thing on a regular basis!
