Looks nice.
I'm currently rocking my own new phone so getting an iPhone is out of question.

its about time...somehow you ALWAYS knew that apple was capable of coming out with something like this, in fact im surprised it took them THIS long to come out with an all-in-one product...when they came out wiht the ipod/photo i remember wondering why they couldnt just put a camera in it as well...
then again, looking at how well they have improved upon the ipod battery since its inception, perhaps they NEEDED all this time to figure out how to make a superior product. then again we will see once all the specs are out, i haven't really taken a look at it yet.
hmm ok in the comments, someone surmised that battery capacity is 16hrs worth of music (which isnt bad) and 5 hrs talk time -- but memory is only 8 gigs...hrms...if the memory was comparable to that of an IPOD video (30gigs) it would def be worth considering. well perhaps they are using this as a test to see how potential demand is and then they will eventually bring it out. cmon apple you can DEF do better than this!!! |

well... i mean, to be honest, this is a phone first, and ipod 2nd. how many other phones out there have 8 gigs of flash space? if you look at all the specs it comes with.... its pretty damn loaded. |

X-Posted in the COR.
| quote: | The iPhone is first party software ONLY -- i.e. not a smartphone by conventional terms, being that a smartphone is a platform device that allows software to be installed.
Other unfortunate realities about the device: |

Umm. What? Get with the times Apple.
| quote: | | * No over the air iTunes Store downloads or WiFi syncing to your host machine. |
Okay that just sucks. You'd think they'd get some of the better points from the Zune but nooo... They just want to do things their way.
| quote: | | * No expandable memory. |
Is 8GB a lot?
Not at all. Especially when you're placing movies along with your music and pictures onto the hard drive. Not to mention games. This is shameful.
| quote: | | * No removable battery. |
There's the deal breaker.
| quote: | | * No Exchange or Office support. |
No Exchange or Office support?
No thanks. |

yes, no 3g sucks and no removeable battery sucks even more.
i would have no problem with 8 gigs of space. didn't the reports say that there's wifi and it auto syncs when in range? |
