If your is getting dry, either cook for less time of if you are worried about undercooking make what you're cookin thinner, it's a very simple concept in cooking.

i've never gotten any dry meat, but my only con about this gem is everything you make leaves something on the grill, and you really need to get scrubbing to get it off the hot plates when you're done (i find scrubbing the grime off the plates when it's hot is a lot easier than waiting for it to cool). It's also hard to clean the crevice where hinges are (but it's an open hinge, so solid thing that aren't sticky usually fall through).

Definately. Best to get the majority off when it's still hot, then get the last bit on a quick scrub when it's cool later.

Still much less hassly IMO than pans and stoves/ovens etc.

Wow, Ill.

My burgers were pretty perfect just a minute ago, but after hearing these reports, I'll definately have to keep my eye on this piece. Gonna do some chicken on it this weekend- I expect it to do well, chicken cooks pretty quickly.

Dryness of meat is one thing that REALLY annoys me so if this ends up doing that to other stuff, I'll be kind of annoyed.

ALSO, no fat dripped into the pan on these burgers (which i thought was weird) but i cooked em for the amount of time suggested and they came out perfectly and were good, so yall might just be cooking for too long.

a nice way of cooking your chicken is :

make a smooth mixture of whole grain mustard and honey with a tiny drop of balsamic vinegar and roast it in the oven for 30mins at 180! delicious!

yeah marinating the meat is pretty damn good
Ian
u can put the plates in dishwashers on the new ones, very nice, on the old one i had u had to clean it only with a cloth & some oil to remove everything.

Greg, i found that the stuff that made me ill, was burnt on the outside & uncooked on the inside to the point where it hurt to bite into cos of how well done it was, maybe a newer model will cook better now but i've never gone back, plus my mum & dad used to not clean it & you'd have burger flavour bacon or tuna flavour chicken, not good ;)

I tend to poach my chicken now instead of grilling it though

Here's a little trick my brother taught me: while the grill is still warm, soak some paper towels in hot water and dish washing liquid. Lay the towels across the grill and close it. Let it sit like this for a bit, say, while you wash any other dishes. Then just remove the paper towels, and cleanup is much easier.

marinating annoys me. too many people do it on the assumption that you'll like it, not so many think about people with allergies or intollerances like me :p

I know exactly what Ian is talking about and I HATE IT! That's the only reason I refuse to eat from one of them. I like my meat nice and juicy. And you can quote me.
