Stereo is as "gay" as you want it to be.
If you are really "scared" of gay people, there are many simple ways to ensure you don't get into an uncomfortable position.
Bring a bunch of friends, stay on the right side, go up on the stairs/areas to the left or right of the booth, vip room, and perimeter of women never hurts.
I was at Stereo for a goooood 6+ hours for Danny Torrence's bday on Saturday and didn't have anything sketch happen to me. Sure it wasn't a Calderon night, but it was a huge saturday. (apparently 1000+ showed up throughout the course) In fact the ONLY sketch thing that's happened to me in my nights at Stereo was ONCE a guy outside called me cute (we were in a big group having a conversation) and quickly added, "but I don't know if you're into guys". I said I wasn't and that was the end of that.
As for the sweaty bodies, if you can't stand the heat, get the out the kitchen. For the most part they are easily avoidable, unless you're super cracked out, then it might become more difficult. Getting angry at them is just stupid. Move if you need to.
Go or don't go, there'll still be a whole lot of people there having a great time. |

yea i've been to Stereo a few times actually. say Cattaneo, Armin and to be honest, u learn just to do ur own thing. everyone is there to have a good time just like me. but for sakes! they need to do something with that ventilation system!! i hope there are at least 4 ppl in this thread to agree with me! but other than that, kudos to Stereo!

Cattaneo and Armin were probably COMPETELY different to a "regular" stero saturday night.
If you need ventilation either go chill by one of the fans or step outside/downstairs. |

And just wear speedos too while you're at it ;)
It works the same way in the hetero world, a guy usually won't approach a girl if she's is her own world or if she gives off that bitchy look. The edm crowd is especially respectful/intimidated of others :p
Plus I assume you're the same size as most gay men so they sometimes have to worry about getting their lights literally punched out. I used to live in Gaycouver, BC, and believe me, gays are aggressive there but just take it as a compliment, let it roll off and be polite about it. |

Pffft that whole "i dont like dudes that gets close to me" thing is overrated. Could you imagine how many freaking girls are tired of all the ing players trying to dance with them and trying to buy drinks and ?
Come'on, if a dude wants to buy me a drink, its a drink i dont have to pay for. If he calls me cute, its a freaking compliment, and when he tries to make a move, i say im straight. Same with girls, if you ask them if they want a drink, they will say yes... then when u get closer, they will sometimes push you away. it, its a free drink.
I was at stereo and been to gay clubs before with some friends, just mind your own business and you will be alright. Last friday when i was at stereo, i know some guys checked me out, i just kept dancing on my own and everybody left me alone. |
