We can, I guess, assume that at five years old this kid knew everything about what a Jesus-free life had to offer him and decided that it wasn't enough -- rather than, you know, trustingly accepting some adult's ideas about what he was supposed to believe.

Hmm, intense. I don't think it's the kids to much wanting to do it , I think it's more the parents that put the kids there. I don't know any 8 year old wanting to be in a Jesus camp, unless they were brought up strictly a kid of God.
I went to church camp at the age of 10-12 but, it's more like a Sunday school thing during the week. We just sang some songs, did crafts, ate, and played sports.

Although I must say, there's nothing new it that. The muslims do it, the Hindus do it. People in every religion do that. People want their children to follow the same religion as they do. Of course, a line needs to be drawn between brain washing and bringing them up in a Christian way. What the kids are saying in the video is bull. They've been fed those lines to speak in front of the camera.

Christian camps for the most part aren't really that different from secular ones. For the most part, the parents are christians, so that's basically the different. They pray, go to church every night, but 90% of it is a fun camp. I had fun when i went church camping.
