oh yea i forgot to actually answer myself lol.
but yea my favourite trance atm is prog and tech. "classic" trance will always be my favourite kind of trance of all time though.

Man With No Name is my favourite artist.
and
Progressive trance, of the more atmospheric type.
But no artist has imo a discography so big and good to be worthy of the "favourite artist" title, or at least i can't think of one atm. However, on the level of singular tracks i enjoy prog and the styles mentioned above equally. |

| I would just call what I like "melodic trance" it covers everything from BT's trance stuff like "Flaming June", "Godspeed" and "Embracing The Future", PvD's stuff like "Another Way" and "For An Angel", Solar Stone's "Seven Cities", "Solarcoaster" and "Destination", to Micro De Govia's music "Epic Monolith", "Aura Indigo" and "Vital Spark". Sure I've been into the more grandiose epic stuff too, and certaintly some of this stuff can be considered epic, but I have a tendency to prefer smoother, a little more sophisticated music, with less use of super-saws. Now i'm into deeper and more atmospheric stuff, like Benz & MD, Peter Martin, Peter McCowan, Snake Sedrick, Jay Lumen, various releases on Toes In The Sand and No Smoking Records. |
