As right as you are with trying to cut her off using the " I am too busy right now" excuse is quite possibly the most pathetic thing someone could ever say.
Just play give it to her straight ( not trying any puns here ) play hard ball and eventually she'll bugger off with perhaps a call at a later time but she'll get the message in her head sooner or later
and if that was your short version I wonder what the long version could be like.

you just completely contradicted yourself in one sentence. good job.
"just play it straight"..and then you continue on to tell me to "play hard ball" until she get the hint, as opposed to just being brutally honest and telling her that i didn't have time, nor did i want to MAKE time, to rekindle my friendship with her. it doesn't get more "straight up" than that as far as i'm concerned. |
